Court victory in Hungary!
Yesterday our clients, represented by J&E Hungary (EMLA), won a case at the court: the judge granted legal standing to three individuals in a forestry case.
In a town near Budapest the owner of a forest plot initiated an administrative process whereby the authority permitted the cutting of all the trees on the foregoing plot. The area is going to host a commercial building.
Citizens living across the street claimed legal standing but were refused in both instances of the administrative process.
These decisions were amended by the court yesterday and legal standing was granted in the permitting procedure to our clients.
The case goes on; now the task is to prevent the cutting of the trees.
